Russian artist Pavlenski put under examination for the fire of a branch of the Bank of France

Russian artist Piotr Pavlenski and his companion were indicted on Wednesday, 18 October, for having set fire to façade of a branch of Banque de France in Paris on Monday. The investigating judge retained burden of "destroying property of ors by a dangerous means for persons".

The prosecutor's Office has required ir placement in pre-trial detention, according to a judicial source quoted by Agence France-Presse. A Judge of liberty and detention should rule on this point in evening.

"The Global Fire of revolutions"

Transferred on Tuesday to psychiatric infirmary of police prefecture, performer had been arrested shortly after having sprayed two windows surrounding entrance of building and set it on fire at about 4:15. The 33-year-old protest artist explained his action in a communiqué:

The Bank of France took place of Bastille, bankers took place of monarchs. [...] The renaissance of revolutionary France will trigger world fire of Revolutions. »

PIOTR Pavlenski is not at his test shot. A refugee in France since month of January, he has already been convicted in Russia after fire in November 2015 of main gate of Lubyanka, historic headquarters of Russian security services. His "political art" also led him to wrap himself naked in barbed wire or to nail testicles on cobblestones of Red Square.
