Tenth game, tenth victory-despite a weak first half, German national football team has cracked Spanish world record in championship qualifiers. The 5:1 (1:1) against Azerbaijan made 34 613 spectators on Sunday evening in Kaiserslautern but only late fun, first 45 minutes were extremely tough. The Gates scored Leon Goretzka with a double pack (8th/66 minute), striker Sandro Wagner (54.) as well as Antonio Rüdiger (64) and Emre Can (81.) with ir first goals in A-team.
Ramil Sheydaev put game-fighting guests with his hit on 1:1 in meantime at least in a short delighting frenzy (34.). Joachim Löw stood in his 155. Country game as a federal coach before break repeatedly scolding sidelines, because his predominantly second guard Fab acted. The increase reconciled. The Spaniards had also placed a ten-victory qualification on way to world title 2010, but with lesser difference.
In seven positions, Löw had changed his team after World Cup ticket with 3:1 victory against Norrn Ireland in Belfast had already been solved on Thursday. The German coach, refore, had already declared match against Azerbaijan with a view to great target title defense as beginning of test phase and announced that he wanted to "delight" spectators. This failed at first, however-and succeeded only Schalke Goretzka with his worth seeing picks from five meters.
Apart from naughty Tor action, newly formed DFB-elf in a 1-3-4-2 formation with Shkodran Mustafi behind Joshua Kimmich, Emre Can and Niklas Süle made too many mistakes in game structure, worked unsorted and unimaginative. Already in first minute goalkeeper Bernd Leno played opponent's ball in feet, in 13th minute Richard Almeida missed after fine play of Sheydaev 1:1.
20 minutes were played when Löw became first Fox Devil after anor failed pass of Can and anor Wackler by Leno on sidelines. With a raised forefinger and abwinkender gesture, he exhorted his pros to concentrate and use. In meantime, German game was characterized by too little movement and too little willingness to run.
And when spectators finally got to see a small football of light with first interesting combination of Stindl and Thomas Müller, Wagner finished feat of only hitting post in front of Empty Gate (31st). The first half, which was rich in bizarre situations, n found its nadir a little later when compensating for Azerbaijan. The first very weak Julian Brandt lost ball in forward movement, Mustafi injured himself in running duel with Sheydaev and remained lying on ground. The attacker of Karabakh Agdam fooled Antonio Rüdiger, who had arrived in 22nd minute for battered Süle, and duped also still Leno with a shot in short corner-which also orwise did not deliver a good game. After compensation, Wagner failed by head of well-reactive guest goalkeeper Kamran Agajev (36), Sané puckered from a short distance in front of gate (45. 2).
After change performance changed completely. Brandt failed after a nice pass by Kimmich, who was only DFB pro in all ten qualifying games to be used, just to Agajev (47.). It was now clear effort to recognize bad impression of first 45 minutes correct. In third attempt it finally worked with Wagner, who completed a Brandt flank by head to 2:1 and met for fifth time in his fifth match. Rüdiger, Goretzka and can still made a conciliatory conclusion of evening with ir gates.
